The Beddington Society Service and Reception

6.00 p.m. on Wednesday 1st October, at St Bartholomew the Great, followed by a drinks reception at the Great Hall of St Bart’s Hospital

In 2003, a service was held to celebrate 65 years of weddings at St Bartholomew the Great and it marked the birth of The Beddington Society. Since then over 130 couples have been married at the church and we decided that it was time to host another one to celebrate a tradition of now 70 years!

We are taking this opportunity to invite non-members and newly-weds, married since the last service in 2003, to celebrate alongside our existing members and we believe it will be another wonderful occasion. The service will take place in the church at 6.00pm on Wednesday 1st October, followed by a drinks and canapés reception at the Great Hall of the hospital. A price of £40 per person will be charged to enable us to cover our costs.

This year, however, our service and reception go hand in hand with an appeal for support to purchase a new high altar rail. (click here for more information). Your support for this Appeal is greatly appreciated.

Download Attendance Form here and return to the Parish Office. Alternatively you can email or call the Parish Office for more information.

We hope you are able to attend what should be another joyful occasion and one which will help contribute to the improvement of St Bartholomew the Great.
