There are many opportunities for volunteers to present a warm and friendly welcome to the thousands of visitors, guests and members who enter the Priory Church annually, for worship, musical performances, or other public events. Volunteer opportunities at St. Bartholomew's range from helping at the bookstall to greeting visitors and friends on Sunday mornings, from selling raffle tickets to helping in the Cloister Club, from running a bazaar stall to cleaning out the drain covers. . . and the list goes on. To find out how you can get involved, please contact the Parish Office.

Servers
The great Sunday liturgies would be impossible without the lay assistant ministers and the servers. Adult men and women as well as juniors are welcome in the serving team as crucifers (carrying the processional cross), thurifers (swinging the incense), acolytes (carrying the torches) and general servers. Full training given. For further information, please contact the Parish Office.

Sidesmen
These are the men and women who act as deputies to the Churchwardens in welcoming people to services, giving out books and service sheets, taking the collection and assisting with the counting after the service. This ministry of welcome is an important one and more sidesmen are needed. For further information about what is involved, please contact the Parish Office.
