Traditional worship, good music and intelligent preaching are three of the distinguishing characteristics of Saint Bartholomew the Great. Sermons are delivered almost every Sunday at all services by the Rector, the other parish clergy or visiting preachers. From time to time we post sermons here on the website that we think a wider readership might enjoy.

Of course, reading a sermon is not the same as hearing it preached. A sermon is not actually a lecture that is read. It can be either a performed text or something delivered after preparation but without being written down. Where there is a written text, it sometimes differs significantly from what was actually delivered.
